On 25 May, from 14:30 to 16:00, an online meeting of the Executive Boards of the UISG and the USG took place. The theme of the meeting was "Religious Life after Covid-19: What is the Leadership Role for the Two Unions?"

The Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life created, in 1968, an organ for listening to and consulting with the Unions of Superiors General (USG and UISG), which is popularly known as "the group of sixteen" since it is made up of sixteen Superiors General, eight from each Union.
On 4 and 5 October 2019, the VIII Seminar on the Formation of Educators was held in Rome, sponsored by the Education Commission of the Unions of Superior Generals (UISG-USG). The work took place in the General House of the Marist Brothers (Rome, EUR) in Piazzale Marcellino Champagnat 2.
