Father Tesfaye Tadesse Gebresilasie, 52, has been re-elected on June 25 2022, by a large majority, Superior General of the Comboni Missionaries of the Heart of Jesus during the 19th General Chapter being being held from June 1-30 at the Institute's General House in Rome.

The 54th General Chapter of the American Cassinese Congregation of Benedictine Monasteries elected Father Jonathan R. Licari, O.S.B., a monk of Saint John's Abbey in Collegeville, MN as the new Abbot President.

Fr Domenico Soliman is the new Superior General of the Society of St Paul. He was elected on 15 June 2022 by the Chapter Members of the Society of St Paul, gathered in the Divine Master House in Ariccia, and is the 8th successor of Fr James Alberione.

Father Stanley Lubungo was re-elected Superior General of the Missionaries of Africa during the XXIX General Chapter taking place in Rome from 13 May to 19 June.
