Worldwide Prayer Moment for Peace  UISG Initiative

The UISG invites everyone to join an international moment of prayer for peace on Friday, 6 March 2026 at 15:30 (Rome time), which will be broadcast live via streaming.

In the face of the escalation of violence and war affecting many regions of the world, the International Union of Superiors General (UISG) invites all to take part in a worldwide moment of prayer to invoke a disarmed and disarming peace.

The UISG represents more than 1,900 congregations of women religious present on six continents, with nearly 600,000 sisters worldwide. Through this initiative, it wishes to express closeness and solidarity with populations affected by conflicts and to renew the commitment of women religious to the building of peace.

Often present in the most fragile contexts of society and alongside those who suffer – refugees, the wounded and families devastated by war – women religious witness every day that peace is not an abstraction, but a fundamental human need.

With this international moment of prayer, the UISG renews its invitation to prayer, fasting and commitment for peace, entrusting to the Lord the victims of all conflicts and asking for the courage to become builders of peace.
