New leadership for the Brothers of Mercy of Mary Help of Christians

The delegates of the 35th General Chapter of the Brothers of Mercy of Mary Help of Christians, held under the motto "Forward with courage and joy – as pilgrims of hope", elected Brother Peter Berg as the new Superior General of the Congregation for the next six years on October 24, 2025.

The Brothers of Mercy of Mary Help of Christians (FMMA) are a religious congregation of brothers founded in 1850 by Blessed Brother Peter Friedhofen in Weitersburg, near Koblenz (Germany). Their primary mission is to care for the sick, people with disabilities, the elderly, and those who are disadvantaged.
