Fr. Massimiliano Parrella, new Superior General of the Poor Servants of the Divine Providence
Fr. Massimiliano Parrella is the new Superior General of the Poor Servants of Divine Providence. He was elected during the 12th General Chapter held from 1 to 28 May in Maguzzano, Italy, and succeeds Fr. Miguel Tofful in charge since 2008.
Fr Maximilian, 45, who was born in Rome, made his first profession as Poor Servant of Divine Providence in 2003. He has been a priest since 2007.
After the first years of formation spent in Verona, obedience called him to Rome as parish priest in the parish of Santa Maria Assunta and San Giuseppe in Primavalle, a role he has held until today.
The Chapter also elected the General Council:
- Vicar General: Fr. Fernando Speranza (Argentinean)
- General Councillor: Gedovar Nazzari (Brazilian)
- General Councillor: Manjeriyil Bineesh (Indian)
- General Councillor: Lino Busi (Italian)
