As the summer break approaches, the Rector of the Pontifical Urbaniana University has addressed a letter to the academic community — including the Colleges, which are an active and essential part of the University — outlining the main events and commitments in preparation for the resumption of academic and pastoral activities.
Orientation Meeting for New Students – 29 September 2025
On Monday, 29 September at 9:00 AM, the University will host an orientation meeting for students enrolling for the first time. In the presence of the Deans, Professors, and representatives of the student association Omnes Gentes, new students will receive guidance on academic programs, campus facilities, and administrative procedures. This meeting serves as an important introduction to university life.
Start of Lectures – 30 September 2025
Lectures for all Faculties will officially commence on Tuesday, 30 September. Students and faculty are encouraged to take note of this date to ensure a smooth and timely beginning to the academic term.
Inauguration of the Academic Year and University Jubilee – 10 October 2025
The solemn Inauguration of the 2025–2026 Academic Year will take place on Friday, 10 October, coinciding with the University Jubilee. The event, organized in collaboration with the Dicastery for Evangelization, will be a significant moment in the academic and ecclesial life of the University. The entire academic community is warmly invited to participate in this celebration.
Summer Intensive Italian Language Course – Until 26 September 2025
The summer intensive Italian language course, which began on 14 July, is currently ongoing and will continue until 26 September. Offered in collaboration with the Società Dante Alighieri, the course is open both to Urbaniana students and external participants. It represents a valuable opportunity for linguistic and cultural integration, especially for international students.
Introductory Philosophy Course – 15–26 September 2025
From 15 to 26 September, the course FB1023 – Institutions of History will be held for first-year students enrolled in the Bachelor's program in Philosophy. The course, taught by Prof. G. Perillo, will take place Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM. It aims to provide foundational historical knowledge, facilitating a more fruitful engagement with the curriculum in the first semester.

The Academic Calendar for the 2025–2026 academic year is now available, detailing the periods of instruction, examination sessions, and official breaks. It serves as a useful reference for planning both academic and personal commitments.
