The USG-UISG Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) Commission announces a transition in the role of Co-Executive Secretary. At the conclusion of Fr. Roy Thomas, SVD's term of office, the responsibility has been entrusted to Fr. Vincent Susaimanickam, CMF.
As we warmly welcome Fr. Vincent, we also express our heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Roy for his dedication, expertise and invaluable contribution over these years in service to the Commission and to the collaboration between USG and UISG.
We are pleased to publish the message of Sr. Maamalifar M. Poreku, Co-Executive Secretary of the USG-UISG JPIC Commission, marking this transition.
After three years of service as Co-Executive Secretary of the Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) Commission, Fr. Roy Thomas, SVD, has completed his term of office. He is succeeded by Fr. Vincent Susaimanickam, CMF.
Fr. Vincent is a Claretian Missionary from Karankadu, India. Over the years, he has served in a variety of apostolic ministries and has been actively involved in several JPIC Rome working groups dedicated to the Integrity of Creation, Refugees and Migrants, Combating Human Trafficking, and Collaboration between Men and Women. Most recently, he worked in the field of tribal development in West Bengal, India, before returning to Rome to assume his new role as Co-Executive Secretary of the USG-UISG JPIC Commission.
Throughout his three-year mandate, Fr. Roy Thomas served tirelessly as Co-Executive Secretary, making a significant contribution to strengthening the capacities of JPIC Promoters while fostering collaboration and networking with like-minded organizations for coordinated action in building a more just and harmonious world. Through his commitment and tireless work, he helped create stronger synergy among the USG-UISG JPIC Promoters and partner organizations. His digital expertise proved invaluable in carrying out many of the Secretariat's activities and responsibilities, several of which would not have been possible without his professionalism, competence and dedication.
We express our deepest gratitude to Fr. Roy Thomas for all that he has contributed to the growth, development and advancement of the JPIC Commission's commitment to promoting the common good of all creation. As he prepares to take up a new assignment, we wish him every blessing and every success, remaining united in our common service to the Church.
May God bless him.
Maamalifar M. Poreku
