XXII General Assembly of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood: Re-election of Fr. Emanuele Lupi

From 1 to 19 September 2025, the Missionaries of the Precious Blood gathered for their 22nd General Assembly, a time of discernment, fraternity and renewal, guided by the motto: 'Blood of Christ, hope for the world'.

One of the central moments of the Assembly was the election of the new General Council, which will lead the Congregation for the six-year period 2025-2031. The voting took place on 11 and 12 September in the city of Assisi, a place of particular significance for spirituality and fraternity.

Fr. Emanuele Lupi, CPPS, was re-elected as Moderator General for a second term, confirming the trust and esteem of his fellow Missionaries in his leadership.

The newly elected General Council of the Congregation is as follows:

  • Fr. Emanuele Lupi, CPPS (Italy) – Moderator General

  • Fr. Benjamin Berinti, CPPS (United States) – First Councilor and Vice Moderator General

  • Fr. Antonio Baus, CPPS (Chile) – Second Councilor

  • Fr. Chesco Msaga, CPPS (Tanzania) – Third Councilor

  • Fr. Luigi De Fazio, CPPS (Italy) – Fourth Councilor
