Fr. Agustinus Purnama Re-elected Superior General of the Missionaries of the Holy Family

During the General Chapter 2025, held in Rome from October 7 to 25, 2025, delegates from around the world gathered to reflect on the theme:

"Let us walk together to bring hope to those who are far away."

In a climate of prayer, discernment and fraternal dialogue, the Chapter proceeded to the election of the new General Government for the term 2025–2031.

Fr. Agustinus Purnama, MSF, from the Province of Java (Indonesia), was re-elected as Superior General for a second term.

In his message after the election, Fr. Purnama thanked the confreres for their renewed trust and invited everyone to continue walking together in hope, bringing the Gospel to those who are distant or most in need.

The Chapter concluded with a Eucharistic celebration of thanksgiving, entrusting the new General Government to the Holy Family of Nazareth as a guide and inspiration for the Congregation's missionary mission in the years to come.
