The Scalabrini International Migration Institute (SIMI), in collaboration with the University of Notre Dame, the Klau Institute for Civil and Human Rights, and the Pontifical Urbaniana University, announces the upcoming International Conference on Migration, Theological and Social Studies.

This interdisciplinary event will explore the complex realities of human mobility through theological, social, and ethical lenses. It will bring together scholars, theologians, policymakers, religious leaders, and representatives of migrant communities to foster dialogue and develop concrete responses to today's migration challenges.

Conference Themes Include:

  • Foundations of Migration Theology

  • Migration and Social Ethics

  • Intercultural and Interreligious Dialogue

  • Biblical and Pastoral Perspectives

  • Education and Policy on Migration

Call for Papers Now Open!

Scholars, doctoral students, practitioners, and activists are invited to submit proposals for one of the seven panel themes. Abstracts (max 300 words) must be sent by September 1, 2025, with notification of acceptance by September 10.
