The Congregation of the Sons of the Holy Family elects New General Government
Under the motto "We walk in the Light of Nazareth. Communion. Participation. Mission", the Sons of the Holy Family celebrated at the Sant Josep Manyanet Spirituality Centre in Begues (Barcelona) the XXIV General Chapter of the Congregation founded by Saint Joseph Manyanet.
Current reality and the synodal journey
Representing the different Delegations of the Congregation, the Chapter Fathers evaluated the work carried out since the previous General Chapter, analysed the current reality of the communities and apostolic works and discerned the lines of action for the future. They affirmed their creative fidelity to the charism received in order to seek the most evangelical ways of responding to the new needs and realities of families, young people and education.
In communion with the Church which is on the "synodal journey", they deepened the ways of living religious consecration, underlining the importance of offering a joyful witness to it. They also wanted to continue to encourage the participation of the laity in the mission of accompanying families and educating "the heart and intelligence" of young people, following the pedagogy of Manyanetia which looks at the family of Nazareth and at each family in our world.
