Re-election of Br. Francisco Javier Hernando as Superior General of the Brothers of the Holy Family

During the 39th General Chapter, held in Valladolid (Spain) from July 16 to August 5, the election of the new General Council for the 2025–2031 term took place.

The Council is composed as follows:

• Superior General: Br. Francisco Javier Hernando (ES)

• Vicar General: Br. David Rasero (ES)

• Second Councillor: Br. Julien Zoungrana (BF)

• Third Councillor: Br. José Mamerto Sánchez (AR)

• Fourth Councillor: Br. John Bosco Sebastian (IN)

The new General Council will be responsible for carrying forward the proposals of the Sa-Fa Family Assembly (prepared by Brothers and Lay people) and the Life Project of the Institute, drawn up by the Chapter. The proposal for this six-year period is to be "Witnesses of hope and promoters of life", a motto that the Chapter itself has adopted to guide the coming years.
