New Society Leadership Team Elected, May 14th 2022

The following announcement is from the President of the Society Chapter, May 14th 2022.

The Chapter delegates have completed their discernment and elections for leadership.

Fr Richard Filima has been elected as the new Society Leader.

Fr Sean Cremin has been elected as the Assistant Leader.

Fr Patrick Esekon and Fr Raphael Mwenda were elected to the CLT.

Fr Richard Filima, is the New Society Leader.
Richard Tombari Filima is from Bodo, Rivers State, in Nigeria. He is the eldest of six children. He joined St Patrick's Missionary Society in 1997 for initial formation in Nigeria, then studied Philosophy in South Africa. He studied Theology at Tangaza College in Nairobi, Kenya, and did an extended pastoral year in Brazil. He was ordained on 26th January 2008 and his first appointment was to Mato Grosso in Brazil. He then did postgraduate education for formation in Dublin and Cork, Ireland, and went to KwaPatrick, South Africa, as Director of Formation.
He was appointed to promotion work in Great Britain in 2020, later becoming the Director of Promotion based in East Molesey. He attended the Chapter as the elected delegate from the District of Southern Africa.
