Fr. Domenico Soliman is the new Superior General of the Society of St Paul

Fr Domenico Soliman is the new Superior General of the Society of St Paul. He was elected on 15 June 2022 by the Chapter Members of the Society of St Paul, gathered in the Divine Master House in Ariccia, and is the 8th successor of Fr James Alberione.

Fr Soliman, 56, was born in Thiene (Vicenza) on 2 June 1966. He joined the Pauline community of Vicenza on 20 September 1977. At Albano Laziale, he made his first profession on 8 September 1986, confirming it in perpetuity on 7 September 1992 in Rome. He was then ordained a priest on 30th September 1995 in Vicenza. Postulator General of the Pauline Family since 2018, he currently also held the post of Secretary General of the Society of Saint Paul.

He is the successor of Fr Valdir José De Castro (with him in the photo) who was elected in February 2015.
