Re-election of Brother Francisco Javier Hernando as Superior General of the Brothers of the Holy Family

During the 39th General Chapter, held in Valladolid (Spain) from 16 July to 5 August, the new General Council for the six-year period 2025-2031 was elected.

The Council is composed as follows:

Superior General: Brother Francisco Javier Hernando (ES)

Vicar General: Brother David Rasero (ES)

Second Councillor: Brother Julien Zoungrana (BF)

Third Councillor: Brother José Mamerto Sánchez (AR)

Fourth Councillor: Brother John Bosco Sebastian (IN)

The new General Council will be responsible for carrying out the proposals of the Sa-Fa Family Assembly (drawn up by Brothers and Lay People) and the Institute's Life Project, drawn up by the Chapter. The proposal for this six-year term is to be 'Witnesses of hope and promoters of life', which has been the motto that the Chapter itself has given itself to illuminate the coming years.
