Father Lance P. Nadeau new Superior General of the Maryknoll Society

Father Lance P. Nadeau, M.M. was elected Superior General of the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers at the Maryknoll Society's Fourteenth General Chapter in July 2021.
Father Nadeau, 74, is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. He joined Maryknoll in 1983 and was ordained to the priesthood on June 2, 1990. During his 38 years as a missioner, he has served in Egypt, Tanzania, Bangladesh and Kenya. He was Coordinator of Maryknoll's Middle East Unit from 1994 to 1997, and Regional Superior of the Africa Region from 2010 to 2016. Father Nadeau has spent the past 22 years in Kenya, and served as Chaplain at Kenyatta University in Nairobi for much of that time. Most recently he has been working with Maryknoll's Formation Candidates in Nairobi.

A Mass of Installation of the new General Council will be celebrated on September 26, 2021 at Maryknoll, New York.

Father Nadeau and his Council will officially take office on September 27, 2021 for a six-year term.
