From 8 to 28 November 2021, the General Chapter of the CMM Brothers (Brothers of Mary Mother of Mercy) was held in Tilburg under the motto "Called to be merciful brothers, joyful and courageous in today's world".

The Chapter was celebrated in an atmosphere of brotherhood, openness, and a positive outlook on the future. In his speech after the closing celebration, Superior General Brother Lawrence Obiko called upon the capitulants to take this atmosphere back home, to the communities worldwide. He also repeated the motto of the Chapter: "Called to be merciful brothers, joyful and courageous in today's world." This will remain the motto of the Congregation for the next 6 years, not only as words on paper, but also, as Brother Lawrence said, "in our speaking, in our actions, in our work, in the communities, and even when we sleep."

On Friday 26 November 2021, in the chapel of the Generalate of the Brothers CMM, the new General Board for the period 2021-2027 was announced:

Brother Lawrence Obiko CMM - superior general

Brother Paul Damen CMM - deputy

Brother Benyamin T. Robiwala - board member

Brother Rikardus Rumangun - board member

Brother Damasus Dobat - board member
