Catholic Educational Networks: Towards a Network of Networks in Service of the Educational Mission
7 October 2026
International Online Meeting
Organized by the UISG–USG Education Commission

On Wednesday, 7 October 2026, the UISG–USG Education Commission will hold an international online meeting dedicated to Catholic educational networks, with the aim of strengthening collaboration and identifying new forms of cooperation in service of the educational mission.
The initiative builds on the Listening Forum on the Church's Educational Mission, promoted by UISG and USG together with the Dicastery for Culture and Education. The UISG–USG Education Commission, co-chaired by Sr Priscilla Latela, RMI, for UISG, and Fr Mark Hilton, SC, for USG, is now building on the outcomes of this process by promoting a first international meeting among those engaged in the educational mission.
The meeting will provide a space for dialogue and discernment for lay and religious leaders with operational and governance responsibilities in the field of education. Discussions will focus on four priorities: collaboration and networking; formation and identity of educators; inclusive education and attention to the peripheries; and a culture of peace, dialogue and social engagement.
The aim is to foster a genuine "network of networks", capable of promoting joint projects, sharing experiences, resources and good practices, and strengthening the Catholic educational mission at the international level.
