Rome, February 4, 2026 – The 2026 General Chapter of the Legionaries of Christ, which began last January 20 at the General Directorate in Rome, has elected Fr. Carlos Gutiérrez López, LC, as the new Director General of the Congregation for the six-year term 2026–2032.

From 9 to 30 November 2025, the Order of Friar Servants of Mary (OSM) celebrated its 215th General Chapter in Ariccia (Rome). The Chapter was held on the theme "Being servants in a polarized world: building what unites, valuing differences." Delegates from the Provinces and other circumscriptions of the Order took part in the proceedings.
